This year the Burbank Community YMCA is celebrating 99 years of providing children, adults and families with opportunities to become stronger in spirit, mind and body.
We couldn't do all that we do for the community if we relied solely on membership income. Membership dues cover the hard costs of operating the Y’s health & fitness facility. However our financial scholarships, summer learning for at-risk children and other important community programs rely on donations.
Please help us celebrate 99 years of helping others by donating whatever you can. Every donation stays right here in this community and is used to help your neighbors.

We are excited to be planning our sixth season of Learn, Grow, Thrive. The program is designed to help underserved children enter school every fall ready to learn at or above their grade level, while also making sure they have a fun, enriching summer. It is a six-week, full-day academic and enrichment program, offered at no cost to qualifying families. Taught by credentialed teachers in conjunction with YMCA enrichment counselors, the program is designed to mitigate summer learning loss, curb negative social behaviors and help children gain the skills they need to succeed in school and be ready for advanced education and/or a rewarding career.
GOAL: Continue to provide summer learning in order to help close the Achievement Gap for low income youth
We bring people together from diverse backgrounds and support to those who need us most by providing members with financial assistance, regardless of their age, income, or background. We are always expanding successful programs to reach more people with a focus on the most vulnerable. Our doors are open to all. We must continue to provide financial assistance for the hundreds of community members who otherwise could not afford to participate in Y activities.
GOAL: Never turn anyone away for inability to pay for membership.
We are working continuously to refurbish and upgrade our facility so that it will remain in good condition.
