POWER SCHOLAR EXPLORERS

 

Our afterschool care program places strong emphasis on developmentally appropriate practices. We relate to the child as a whole person giving equal importance to emotional, social, physical and cognitive development. We use Bellxcel curriculum to support learning in literacy, mathematics, and mindfulness.  We also provide homework support, healthy snacks, and enrichment to create an engaging afterschool experience. 

Our goal is to close the opportunity gap as we strive to make high-quality programming accessible to all.  We partner with others to provide no-cost programming to scholars who come from low-income families and are struggling in mathematics and/or literacy.  Our program is designed to foster a positive learning environment so scholars can thrive academically and emotionally. 

Tuition includes: afternoon snack, transportation, family membership, and  care on some days that Burbank schools are closed.
