Learn, Grow, Thrive (LGT) has a proven track record of turning summer learning loss into learning gain. By working with credentialed teachers and their assistants, students significantly increase their performance levels in math and reading skills. Instead of falling behind, they catch up on 1.5 to 2 months of coursework. The program has become a model for closing the learning gap for other YMCAs across California and is offered in partnership with the Burbank Unified School District free of charge.
Social Impact Center offers LGBTQIA+ youth a safe place to just be themselves, make friends and have fun.
Youth & Government helps young people develop confidence, find their voice, and learn to respectfully debate the issues that are most important to them. The program provides students the opportunity to act as youth legislators and delegates who must speak out, listen to others, and discuss the issues respectfully.
