YOGA & PILATES

YOGA

We offer both traditional and modern takes on the ancient art of yoga. Practice often focuses on stretching, breath control and core strength. The benefits of yoga are physical and mental, and include improved flexibility, muscle tone, joint health, balance and overall stress reduction. We offer many different classes to accommodate various ages and needs. Classes include:

  • Yoga: Align the mind, body and spirit by combining the breath with standing and seated postures, great for all levels.
  • Vinyasa Yoga: This style allows for a lot of variety, but will almost certainly include sun salutations. Expect movement, not just stretching. The class does flow and is very alignment oriented.
  • Relax & Renew Yoga: Experience breath work and gentle poses that stretch the body and ease the mind.
  • Power Yoga: This class is a combination of strength, mental focus, balance and sweat! It will open your mind, body and spirit like never before. All levels welcome.
  • Kundalini Yoga: Incorporates postures, dynamic breathing techniques along with chanting and meditating on mantras.

PILATES

Pilates is a conditioning program that improves muscle control, flexibility, coordination, strength, and tone and is one of the hottest exercise trends today. It is appropriate for all individuals, regardless of physical condition or age, and is known to relieve tension, improve posture, and help protect against injuries. Pilates also promotes good posture, proper breathing and body control. Classes include:

  • Pilates 101: A great introduction to Pilates. Strengthen your core & improve your posture in just 30 minutes.
  • Mat Pilates: Progressive series of exercises to increase strength, improve flexibility and balance with its main focus on the core muscles.
